A league of SuperNets

Although I ended up having to miss the summit (attending SOSP created an impossible conflict), Jonathan Smith and Chase Cotton and I are talking about some ideas.

People might be interested in a paper I wrote a few years ago in this general space: "The League of SuperNets". It came out in IEEE Networks and the URL is http://www.computer.org/portal/web/csdl/doi/10.1109/MIC.2003.1232525.

Facilitator Andy pointed me at Afrigadget, which contains all sorts of cool instances of ingenious use & creation of technology in Africa. There is a section on communication tech here.
